Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) started with social soccer among the Nepalese living in Canberra and Queanbeyan region in 2008 and later it was formally established in 2014. The club is registered with Office of Regulatory Services, Australian Capital Territory, under the registration associations incorporation act 1991 having association number A05469. The club is also registered with Australian Taxation office with ABN number 73 984 474 742.
Message from The President On behalf of the CNFC, it gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the Canberra Nepalese Football Club. Formally established in 2014, the club has been providing an ideal platform for enjoyable and affordable soccer to the community in Canberra and the surrounding region. Furthermore, it has become the soccer hub for people of both young and old, and male and female. Besides the regular soccer training and games, Club organises various soccer tournaments throughout the year including one interstate soccer tournament. In addition, club organises various social and cultural activities to celebrate the festivals and festivities. I encourage you to get involved in every aspect of the club and abide by the rules and regulations making FUN an absolute priority for everyone. Spread the word to your friends, family and colleauges making them aware of the platform that fosters skill, health and well-being in a social and professional environment. Annual Gala-Dinner
Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) organizes one gala dinner in a calendar year. The aim of this event is recognize all the outstanding achievers in the club including the sponsors. During the year, the club organizes number of official and non-official events. The club receives tremendous support from the local community and the various local organizations. To recognize these individuals and organizations, club puts this showcase and in the same token unviels the new executive team as well.
Social Events Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) organizes various non-competitive community events throughout the year so as to motivate the armature athletes. Furthermore, the club hosts local events such as “Teej”, “Deusi” and participates in other fund raising events for local community. The club has contributed to several causes such as the COVID-19 initiative from NRNA. The club also looks after and encourages the students to participate and train in for the local and interstate tournaments.
Men Soccer Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) is perfect for players that are ready to commit and enjoy competitive soccer. The squad trains once a week and are likely overseen by player coach. It has participated in number of local and interstate tournaments and have been successful in winning the local tournament with respectable achievement in interstate tournament. The club also has senior team referred as “forever young” – age group of above 35 years.
Women Soccer Canberra Nepalese Football Club – Women [CNFC(W)] is composed of aspiring women soccer players from different walks of life with varying age groups. They train and play once a week. Despite being busy with professional and household work, they are dedicated in soccer which give them two fold benefits, enjoying their passion and become physically fit. This has also provided them the platform to meet each other which otherwise would take them to explicityly organize something for gathering.
Kids Soccer Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) is focusing to start regular training for kids. As parents go for training, the club has found it is natural to have kids inclined towards the sport. The club organizes few local tournaments where the club includes kids game so as to make a family event where full family can enjoy the day with fun and purpose.
INTER-STATE TOURNAMENT Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) organizes one interstate tournament named “Nepal Embassy Cup”. The tournament is a battle among at least 14 interstate clubs for the title over two days in Canberra. This event is live-streamed on the web which captures a global audience. The club also participates in few interstate tournaments specially organized in Sydney and Melbourne. On every tournament, forever young team also participates as far as possible since it’s composed of working professionals.
LOCAL TOURNAMENT Canberra Nepalese Football Club (CNFC) organizes few local tournaments around the calendar year. These tournaments focus on the wider community participation hence the team are formed with all age groups inclusive. In addition, the club extends the expression of interest to non-regular players as well as the players from other clubs who want to be a part of our local tournament. It is fun-filled event where whole family can enjoy as we tend to include women and kids soccer on the day.
MULTI-CULTURAL TOURNAMENT From 2020, CNFC is going to host one multi-cultural soccer tournament in Canberra. This will be a perfect opportunity for the sponsors to reach out to multi-cultural community as it tend to be more involved from various communities in Canberra. The outreach of the tournament is expected to hit the local AM and FM radio stations. The club will be organizing this tournament with focus on family as well. Hence it is expected to gather a mass of people who can play, enjoy and celebrate like festival.
